Hide and Seek

By mikeygreenleaf

Who should listen madman
To what a loon would verse?
Rhyming sickness in a mind
Attuned to the perverse

I bet that if you asked my fellow
Vagabonds and thieves, you
Would find no subtle difference
In the way that we perceive

The quill I own is matted
Ink I draw is made of ash
And a poorly tattered paper
Wouldn't dare to be so brash!

A mind that's prone to wander
Will not seek the middle ground,
But instead will find a place
Where it believes it won't be found.
