A Murderer's Love Letter
By Nimue44
Once, I brought you the darkness.
Let me harvest-
Let me do this just once.
The stopping of time-
That only happens twice
In my days.
[An instant sharpened lives as long as it doesn’t happen:
Like an omen.]
In the heat of the moment,
In the fragrant frenzy of the battle,
In the metallic lightning against the cattle,
In the 4 sec succulent sin of murder,
In the unfurling scarlet blossom of death…
Everlasting coppery scent…
Or with you,
When your breath
Is suddenly sweetened.
As we lie on rain-varnished cement…
[Amidst the pendulum decadence of your body, when we’re lost in the fire
and ashes,
I know you get the flashes.
You know I can leave murmurs and bodies cropped.]
Because you have shown me what only death ever could:
The worth of life.
With you, with my knife…
In the kiss or in the murder-
Time is stopped.

While trying to fall asleep, this happened. Jumped out of bed. Go figure.Comments on "A Murderer's Love Letter"
