Engines, Sputtering In Unison

By lupus tenebrae

Engines, sputtering in unison, defile
the whist calm of a sprawling meadow

much like how a lone heckler spoils
a symphony with their outrage:

Nature's dulcet chorus, long
since swallowed by the oblivious

bustling of man, uttering nary
a syllable in edgewise,

far too demure for her own good.
