Love and a Bullet

By Phalanx

You have to turn it up,
Every time they tell you to turn it down.
It is defiance.
It is the self empowering no.
You can't say it without beating the can
That makes their ears bleed.

We all die, a moment at a time,
A day in of itself,
Every time we hurt ourselves.
In each second we take a breath and
Back hand popular thought.

The only thing they can't do
Is kill with a cage.
My time, my turn.
Sit your ass down.

I bang my head
Inside this box.
Take freedom.

One moment at a time,
One breath.

This is my six gun.

I love when my brain wakes up and actually grasps something lol
