True enough

By cadymae

I feel nothing.   Why do you ask?
It was burned out of me, don't you know.
I scoured some out in front of your eyes but you didn't notice then

Yet now  You ask where my scars came from

They say you ought not speak ill of the dead
So when will I be free to speak my truth?

Her truth is brayed from the rooftops.

But her truth was hand crafted a century ago
when truth was more believable.

I believe nothing now.

Attitudinal adjustments are incremental
but deconstruction is always faster.

I wish I knew the origin of this work. Your words while thoughtfully crafted hold reservation in my eyes. Very well written, I hope you found your release. There seems to be more to this work than meets the eye.

You have a very mature and intelligent voice that seeps clearly through your carefully crafted words. "burned out of me / some out in front"--Artisan quality. 10/10
