Demo
By Phalanx
If you can't win,
The best you can do
Is die with honor.
This is a story
Few people will read
And even fewer, remember.
It doesn't matter
If all the seats are empty and
I never sold a ticket.
I finished the show anyway.
I believe it to be
An innate sense in all creatures
To know where you've met the last stand.
Retreating to survive
In hopes to one day regroup
At some point is no longer enough.
This tactic cannot sustain
It's desired effect
When you're losing so much ground.
In a perfect world,
Two diametrically, oppossed forces
Cannot co-exist.
We eat, so we kill.
We survive because we eat.
Anything that disrupts that cycle must be destroyed.
An out of balance structure will not endure
So how can it's future?

Indeed an intriguing write Phalanx, and the stanza you wrote, "This tactic cannot sustain It's desired effect When you're losing so much ground" rings too true. Quite an inspiration actually. Thanks for sharing :]
