Missing Person Report
By Phalanx
I met the faces of so many opposing sides and
Found only a version of myself.
I like some of your kind.
May I take a moment to digest this recent reflection?
From left to right we walk, picking up glass.
I wish the pieces could talk.
For so long I measure myself between walls
In this poached egg contest of past and present.
Voices shape suggestion like a carny ride
That sluts you to death remembering cigarette smoke and funnel cake.
I choose not to go back.
Too much love for a place and time becomes
A cave where you hide yourself and renew.
My methods are mine and they work
Because I'm not dead and I can still hear myself.
I am the deafest child you'll ever know,
Can't help the keys and what tells you the story
Bossing my life while I steal a key or two.
A kin to bricks and dominos, I find the hard way down.
Can't tell me I'm wrong without exact science.
You look confused like there's a degree of difficulty in diagnosis.
Call it heavy metal syndrome.
What's it worth to be right all the time.
Slow as she goes let's the humble man survive.
Context dictates whether or not word of mouth
Keeps you alive.
This life is a hall where I find doors
With a built in ear piece giving me key combo riddles
While i paint doors and rocksaw my premonitions into me.
I came back here because I'm not finished.
Live twice and die trying to get to heaven
Is what we do.
Even when we're not at our best.

I am bastardly ashamed I have not been here before in this recognition and awe. If I could toast your cheers I'd make a speech comparable to the taste of a dying mans last words.

The whole poem calls to me, but the magick is activated at "the humble man survives." There is just so much reflecting deep truth here.
