Rippled Verses.

By soul_versing

It starts with
a wee bit splatter
of ink,
your lyrical verses flow
steady throughout
my beating heart.

.I pop my knuckles.

letting my vivid mind
take flight.

it's not what you read
that moves me
it's the decoded meaning
that enlightens

a melody
a sonnet
a simple verse
.born from
a troubled imagination.

a slippery slope
where gibberish
latches to something solid

a conjurer of
creativity

a page filled.
the actions
so soothing.

I grip tight to
the imagery

dancing,

dancing thoughout
my fingertips.

I find safety
within this realm

unspoken words
shatter beneath
my porcelain skin

these are the verses
I let die
these are the unseen
verses keeping
my mind alive.

I end this with,

you're the balance
pulsating movement
within my pen.

My mind,
silences the whispers.

and I fill, yet another, page.

When overtaken by inspiration, it truly is a ripple. It comes from the heavens through the heart, it seems, (shaking loose those whispers on the way) through to the finger tips as the ink flows. The act of writing is one of both longing and fulfillment. The words you grab later jump off the page and grab the reader...the ripple continues. Scholar

I love the way you describe your process. How it comes to you, and I guess we all have our own private process of this art that chose us, whether dancing into that flow of words, or plucking them from the sky as they pass like wind rushed clouds. Very revealing.

This ... "it's the decoded meaning that enlightens" sparked me to write something in a totally different style than I have ever written in.... Some of the lines I write are my favorite, but they don't make it into the poem as they don't fit, but they need to fit somewhere. I just don't know where atm...This one has put me into a creative mood... thank you for that :) Well done...
