The Garden & The Rose

By spontaneous_insanity

There is a well-tended garden
That I have in my front yard
I put it there for all to share
The off’rings of this bard

The garden is not vast or huge
But the flowers there are pleasant
Red and blue and white ones too
Well-tended by this peasant

Then on a beautiful bright spring day
When I planted a rose quite charming
The people came and then they claimed
That this rose was quite alarming

It was far too long for their tastes
And took too much time to treasure
So they went away that bright spring day
For a smaller flower to give pleasure

I like this and I agree that the stories arent read as much. I however do read the stories, I rather enjoy them, I think most people think it takes too much time, but what they dont know is that its worth it!
