Temptation

By BetaWolfinVA

wind tossed tempest seas
auburn haired temptress calling
our souls fast entwined
.
the steadfast matron
is fidelities victim
faith, a promise kept
.
fain i would have both
should the fates allow this dance
and you as sisters
.
heart, soul, mind, body, honor
and duty served, easily
done, the fates may say
.
yet the world may balk
recompense for no wrong take
demanding an end
.
as for god, he knows
our hearts, our souls, whence they lie
just, strict, yet unbound
