One minute, I'm happy
Next minute, depressed
All the stupid pills
Have me up and down
Up and down
Like a yo-yo
I wanna detox
I wanna feel better
I wanna be better
But the stupid meds
Are dragging me down
I just want to be normal
Not a damn yo-yo
With emotions
Up and down
Up and down
I wanna be free of the meds
Yet they say that I need them
Stupid meds don't help
Always tired, unrestful sleep
No matter how much or how little
I get;
No one should have to live like this

I'm bipolar, and while the meds help some, they seem to cause other problems as well. I'm managing okay by boosting myself out of depression with caffeine -coffee is good for me cuz of the tannin anyway- but its not enough. It makes me swing manic most of the time with meds. I understand the frustration.

You have to actively discuss this with your doctor, it can be dangerous to go cold turkey. Also, unless you were put on them for no reason, whatever your symptoms were can come back in force. Someone I knew kept going on and off his meds and he got increasingly worse. Good luck to you, I know it has to be hard.
