Deep Colors

By saltyman65

Sitting by a steaming, spitting hearth
                                                             Sizzzling and PopPing
with green wood
                            and a gone by Christmas wreath.

Sitting there………………Just sitting in my cold but comfortable loneliness.

The View:
                   A snowy field framed by a window of dusk drawn pines,
                   the night lays its cobalt blanket down.

So softly,
it comes…………calming.
Through the whitish, gray of the trees,
Through the gray greens and the black blues.

Coming at first in waves….. Without comprehension

                                                Rising,
                                                Revealing……..Like ancient incense,

Beckoning me to rest.

A warmth envelopes;
                                               I……alone and understood.
