Museum of the Mind

By saltyman65

Many years ago today,

My flesh was new,
a lump of clay

My friends, I thought
“We’re here to stay!”
                                    Cliché?

I Grew,
Met Loss,
                  Disappointment & Fear

New friends, new scenes
                                         year to year.

Experience taken,
Some given away

From Psychos to Schizos,   They all want to play!

Weeding the weeds,
                                   making room for the new,

 1 x 11 x 7 x 2

They all give way and fit in their places,

The museum of the mind,
                                             Infinite spaces!

New people, new faces,
                                        New moments now past;

I’m looking for something ……. Something to last.
