Eternal Sleep

By MirrorEye

Sing the song of eternal sleep,
Pray to the darkness my soul to reap.
Listen to the peel of the eternity bell,
Guiding lost souls to the Ninth Gate of hell.

I tried to lead a decent life,
Toiling through torture, abuse and strife.
Always looked down on, always trodden on,
Always told I was never the wanted son.

So I turned my back, embraced the dark,
Shunned the light, the contrast, so stark.
I fought for survival, I stubled, I fell,
I saw my journeys end at the entrance to hell.

One night I decided to end my plight,
Give up survival, give up the fight.
Let the eternal darkness engulf me,
Take the draft of everlasting sleep.

Sing the song of everlasting sleep,
Pray to the darkness, my soul to keep.
Listen to the peel of the eternity bell,
Guiding my soul to the Ninth Gate of hell.

Awesome stuff man. Like you rudely peered into my soul. This reads almost like a prayer. Mad write!

Cheers! I actually did think it up as a prayer, and decided to put it up.
