Conscience and Consequence

With knowledge of the risks
and consequences of getting caught
i risk loosing the very thing
all of my pain has bought

broken heart refusing to mend
and loosing my heart each night
to one i may never see again
and may never even text again

she respects my wife
more than i do
but my wife is the reason
i even have a daughter

each night cuddles absense
tears through my broken soul
and the little one in my arms
painless but for a few hours

would i could have both
my love and my daughter
with either or neither
might fall off this turning wheel
