Finding a glimmer of happiness in despair

By BetaWolfinVA

Loosing of one's self
in the grip of memories
of happier times
ignoring society
living for moments of love
.
some years down the road
missing the soul that you took
my abandoned heart
sole one seen as a person
dancing on the razors edge
.
only source of hope
is cousin soon to arrive
making home from house
in six months becomes daughter
glimmer of life in future
.
yet still only hope
ten month old's unseen eyes, found
until then darkness
memories of soul deep loss
and the silence of my soul

Sometimes just that glimmer of happiness is all we need to see the bright side of a shitty situation. Very nicely penned, I enjoyed this xoxo
