Are we there yet?

By Phalanx

Someone once told me, "everyone's got baggage."
Which ofcourse brings me to the question, 'If you can
know and understand what's damaged
between two poeple, can you sift
through that, salvaging enough for
them to live each as a whole person?'
I know if you consider it
in terms of trying to take two
broken down vehicles and swapping
parts until you get one to run
the math just doesn't add up supposing
you look at each vehicle as
a seperate person. So the best
way for you to understand my point
is to picture the "beater" as the
relationship.
     it's funny, writing has always
been, for me atleast, to capture
as many facets as I can displaying
a three dimensional picture, in
hopes of creating universal references that
anyone can understand or simply
put: cracking the universe with an
imagination that doesn't have to be
governed by the same laws, fueled
by an aching desire to fly.
Now back to the previous point.
Essentially what you're attempting is
to use two busted, completely
different makes and models combining
them just to baha through the badlands.
All of which sounds absolutely absurd
but, as I implied, a little imagination
goes along ways in a universe where
the numbers and therefore the odds
no longer apply, assuming you don't kill
each other in the car.

The question asked (repeatedly) of every child on their first long road trip. This philosophical question reminds me of "Flight of the Phoenix" with Jimmy Stewart. Nevertheless there can be no personal joining of the best to create a singular whole of excellence, yet we do tend to rub off on each other. Thoughtful piece, cheers!

I love how you've merged the complicated subjective emotionalism of relationships with the well thought mechanic of cars, it's amusing as well as strikingly accurate. Many thanks for sharing your thoughts.
