Alchemy of Emotions

By Melancholic VIncent

Having an eternal fire inside me
An electric flame turbulent as the sea waves
Vibrates my essence in an intense earthquake
Brooding about the impossible, demand the paradox
My unsettling heart
Compulsive love
Easily inflamed
Feelings and thoughts
Eletrocute me and feed me

Some neglect the touch
For me it is an overwhelming journey
An exhausting trip to the soul
Feeling with such magnitude
It drains me and leaves me vulnerable
That's why I am so afraid to touch
Because that touch is incadescent metal
That leaves a permanent mark

But that's how I am
Some prefer the shallowness
I need the depth and essence
That shapes me into the the unexpected
Alchemy of emotions transmutes me
Transmutes my heart in gold
With the care touch of a silky feather
In an endless flame as violent as passion

Love, much like fumbling with electrical outlets in the dark, grants fleeting moments triumph when it fits the first try.. Unlike the majority of time, where we are banging against the wall to make something fit, a thousand times over. That's what it reminded me of..

Thank you for your comment. When you say, banging against the wall, it would seem you are referring to your experience of love, you tried and you tried time and time again which resulted in so much pain afterwards because it wasn't meant to fit.... That's what it seems. Have hope! Relationships are complicated and some are not meant to be, incompatible, it doesn't have to mean that is something wrong with us, sometimes it's something wrong with them, others.... we are just incompatible. Thank you so much for commenting :)

Some people are just "goosey" in that touching creates a violation of inner space and safety. Natural instinct that involves survival mechanisms and competition. Personally, the touch is much cherished between lovers and is a defining and terribly tangible thing, cheers!

I tend to feel things with so much intensity, touching also. Somehow is my strength and my weakness the way I feel things. There's a great deal of vulnerability with it.

Restless heart yes, it can never go quietly, it can never stop. It's a state of mind, a reality only understood by those who can witness it, others will fall in disbelief and mockery but I do mock them for their blindness. Thank you.

Depths can be a curse, but the gift they bestow, in my opinion, is a new view of a world others could never see through their eyes; where colours are more vivid, where the silence between words means something. A world where every single movement causes a new thought wave in the oceanic experience of Self. Profound and of me, this. Thank you for speaking it out.

I can see you feel the same depth for one can only recognize it's existence if they have felt it. Then you understand my curse and my gift. Thank you for what you have said.
