Dandelion Daydreams

By lupus tenebrae

With every yellow sunburst,
a springtime explosion blooms,
like fireworks in a green sky.

As a youth I often pondered,
why they can’t ward off disdain,
with every yellow sunburst.

Yet they can survive the weather,
for every plume that’s crushed,
a springtime explosion blooms.

Taking strolls down memory lane,
allows me to remember them,
like fireworks in a green sky.
