... .44 magnum ...

By NikesRain

it's quiet

for a time

everything     stills

i left myself

open again

no armor

empty handed

waiting for that click

that revolver love

you're so fond of

where your ammo

is anything

that will

cause      pain

rip into the heart

your aim

is     deadlier

than any

sniper

you

fire off

like a gatlin gun

tearing apart

this faceless

hanging

silouette

i thought

things changed

but that        quiet

it was just

you

I can't... So brutal and straightforward. That feeling... Being on both sides...

Oh my... Oh My! This, this is visceral! This is brilliant! Oh how I have missed this! One of the three!

ouch, what pain to be let down over and over again...the reference of a gatling gun seemed too fitting for comfort. How do you tear into my life and elicit such a response from an empty shell?

...I was here, Doe, I read it. it's too sad to talk about...

  • A former member wrote: Wow...potent. It's a terrible feeling, betrayal of trust. This poem reads like a loaded gun...the ending is simply stunning. Nothing fancy in this one, just a really well said piece, despite the utter blackness within the words...the feeling here is tangible. You deserve better company than this, Doe.
