Trashy Mag
By Stephanie Sideways
They sit there plain, my writes of late
No wish to over complicate
Yet some may preach or scrutinise
And mark them just for laymen's eyes
But don't some seek a trashy mag
When mind is tired from days that drag?
Or movies that are action packed
No need for thought to interact
Like junk food serves to hit the spot
In small amounts it matters not!
Sometimes a lighter tone transcends
A message all can comprehend
It still can reach a deeper nook
Like morals in a childish book
And all befitted in a rhyme
A pleasant way to spend some time
And If my flavour tastes too bland
There's plenty more in poem land

Right on. There's nothing wrong with pushing envelopes. Those that insist on only one right way to preform any kind of artwork are not really artists in the true sense of the word. Can't please all the people all the time but who the hell would want to? You expressed this very well and made some great comparisons. I enjoy a good action flick - XXOO

There is an innate beauty in simplicity, and you own that essence, hardly flouncy and kudos!
