My Sweet Obsession

By Stephanie Sideways

Here inside my heart
Everyday reminding
Of something I can't have
Ne'er comfort I am finding

Cruel to be obsessed
The switch not in my hand
The demon has possessed
The torment, I can't stand

I wish it wasn't there
Yet it is tattooed on
In time will its ink wear
and wretched ache be gone?

It finds no happy form
That sits there quietly
Instead it has me torn
Obsession, leave me be

Hummmm! Obsession never let us be alone! We have to hid, and lie, all the time for us and for all. But is good, make us more strong.

You can best describe what make certain obsessions ... Again, I like your rhymes & also the rhythm of your rhymes. Beautifully written, Lady Passion! :)
