alone at last...

By worm

is this the cause of angel's kiss
this momentary lack of bliss
that stands above a memory lost
for those who cannot pay the cost

and when the sun again does shine
dare not to look below the line
the line we crossed to pay the price
to compensate, not once, but thrice

for we are folly, paid in full
we dare not break the pompous rules
that state that we are only chaff
the wind blows free... alone at last...
