Signed, The Greedy Poet

By Maladroit

These empty notebook pages
mark
abating affections

Without compunction,
I write out your dismissal.
My pen only loves the fall-
stroking out
efflorescent affections.
Progressing
to
enevating
ennui,
eradicating my attention span-
making this an awkward ending.

But, thank you,
for being a contribution
to my prodigal ways.

My last five pages appreciate you.
