Pasteboard Pronghorns

By lupus tenebrae

Teasels are cheapened Pesach,
dimple a draftsman’s salty shantey.
Premature like veiling altimetry,
pronghorns made out of pasteboard .

Cheaper by the bucksaw,
that was given to the open sealskin,
deeper than the octagon linoleum,
that you had once whispered to me.

Come to me in poinsettias,
to save me, from my aviary,
and deadly single-foot reign
in my escadrille of juices.

Author's Note:

With the help of Jack, I came upon the form N+7, then applied it to one of my throwaway pieces. Hilarity ensued.
