Palms Carry Blackouts

By lupus tenebrae

Foiled, it seems, by shadows in hiding,
intangible fingerprints
pointing to illusion,

Where I appeared sleepwalking to somewhere
in the middle of nowhere special,
my palms carried blackouts.

Some distant wisp had been and gone, homebound,
swallowed by morning blindfolds,
the tips of pentagrams.
