Rose

By violetdarkness

my love,

look above
do you see the sky?
as clear as your face
in this cold foggy night
look how big, how great
how vast
then ask me my love
what's it all about

and i'll take a hit
from this marlboro lights
release a thick smoke
in the air,
until it's gone

a moment of silence...

my love,

that sky you're staring
is like my love
it's big, it's vast
pure as a white dove
and the moon that hangs
is my desire
to keep you safeĀ
to keep you loved

this night,

i'll be your coat
like bonfires in beaches
to keep you warm
and keep the fire burning
while lovely birds are singingĀ
a melody
of perfection

affection,

isn't the right word
i scribble through my notes
to find the right answer
to fill in the blank
to encirle the choice
but there aren't no clues

and so,

i'll leave the question
unanswered
because no words can express
why i fell in love
with you
my lovely rose.
