Full Bloom Beads of Night

By lupus tenebrae

This cocoon feels warm,
safe in Ohio cotton
from late April's chill,

its full circle therapy
prescribes me a carousel.

dayglo ponies turn
as anchored dervishes
not so merry go round
.
cranked out tune, ad nauseum
please stop ; I want to get off

spring days become nights
laced with chemical sleep
rise to a howling moon

the stars are as glowing eyes
perfectly aligned, and blind

Garden juxtaposed
once more, suppose through the vine,
rosy rumour mills

of whose petals are redder,
are a down or dirty noir.

the silence of crickets
vying for attention
lead on ; grasshopper
.
Summer sprung Jack-in-the-box
ratchet legged surprise ; lead on

origami swallows
await Indian summer
to rouse their hearts

pretending to fly the sky
with real wings to carry them

Rose coloured wingspans,
a Cecropia effect
with less paradox

of a ragtag happenstance,
when Earth takes flight with the Moon.

once in a blue moon
paranoid orchids curve their necks
from tousled beds
.
trembling as hummingbirds taste
dipping heads to hide their blush

Starlight sensation..
seeking to refuel the night..
orbit temptation..

fills the void of dimming light.
exhaling stars Kryptonite

Et al, unhearing,
sad for them; magnetism
has such a nice sound,

something this jealous cosmos,
cannot simply understand.

Mind blowing genius..
majestical, best suited
ready for battle..

Heartstrings ready to saddle..
a class unmatched indulge us..

Nouveau graffiti,
sigils of our every dream,
incognito, yet

masterminds behind the scenes
pull the strings, a smidge too tight.

Born and bred seamless..
iron plaid, insatiable..
creator of notes..

posting hosts of outlasts.. dark..
leaving shadows left unmarked..

Unnamed, redundant
as a tainted twilight’s word,
when words mean nothing.

So it goes, silence is born,
raised as cold; one of our own.

periscian shadows
encrypt the moondial
lilies turned alabaster

dance , nacre fleshed and yearning
flickering silent movie

Before night is done
When dawn's gray chill comes around
Come to understand

"Our seeds will compete with weeds
In gardens of hair and bone"

caring and sharing; flawed by design
heartstrings plucking
robotic noises

machines awaken..whirring
scanning concrete horizons

Flavours, new to me,
and the motorcade outside
disrupting the night,

a stone’s throw, away from here,
ripples; so close to the touch.

Too much.. uncanny
movement... perpetrators gift..
unleashing the wrath..

Sliding through the byways.. Float..
Underneath the neon moon..

A moon whose surface
seems to be covered in blood;
her face painted red.

red, the color of anger
the color of gruesome death.

as the fever grows
this lunar blood lunacy
Now seizes control

beast to man and back to beast
savage orchid..unrestrained

Centerfold in dwells...
master word smith.. cold factor..
puppeteer aboard..

this crazy train ride.. hosting
back draft coasting relentless.

still the evening weeps
a shy moon is showering
perfuming the soil

hidden in the veiling rain
patterning in dark curtains

That was the goal whether I accomplished it or not remains to be seen. I just felt like everyone has been rather splintered lately, and maybe some nice coexistence would help to heal a few of the open wounds. It certainly did mine, to be sure. Once again, thank you everyone! Scholar

ha, the thought entered my mind about half way through, that there was some tinge of DP tribute at play here..... for once I read something right! Besides being your write, it was the title that drew me in.... dig it. ~b
