. . a song before sleeping . .

By NikesRain

sweet mockingbird

sing me one more song tonight

make another star filled morning

last a moment longer

in the dream of his weight

pressed so perfectly against my back

his arm wrapped with tenderness

around my waist

as if he needs me that close

to find solace in sleep

the night seems to enfold

almost as if to remind me

hes only a gasp away

tucked within my heartbeat

flowing in my every breath

vibrant in my thoughts

but i need one more song

to almost make him here

where he should be

sing once more my sweet bird

so i can drift off knowing

time moves us ever closer

to being so complete once again

You always write with a delicate whisper, something so soft and tender. :)

I think I'll go to bed now and listen for that mockingbird to sing. Sweet dreams as always, thanks.

Always, always....your writing falls so softly, with such sincere weight upon me, a real and resounding cry from atop the heart's high rim; I cannot but feel, truly feel the vibrations echo through my bloodpassages as they make their way longingly into heartspace, resting finally upon my own lofty ledgings........
