Haunted Daily

By Little_Zombie

 I'm Haunted Daily
By the past
Of the world I lefted behind

The abuse I once lived

I was a walking shadow of what I became

I vile of shame force to wear it were every I went

Now I'm reaching for you

My freedom
My hope

You took it with you when you left

These scars are just a trace

Of what I once wanted to be
and
Now they are just faded dreams of the past.
I wish I could have been better

But I let myself be ingulf with shame and hate

Now I'm just a empty shell of what I once could have been

I'm haunted daily by my past
Of the world that I left behind
Full of fear to close my eyes for a slumber of peace

With fear it will be forever

This haunts me daily this

FOrever pain of my past

Will it ever let me sleep peaceful?

They can be painful reminders of everything we don't want to remember. It is difficult, but our pasts don't have to define our futures. Excellent write!
