To Sixout

By darkness_descends

Sadness doth but consume this day
At the realization, 'tis time to say
With melancholy in my voice and tears in mine eyes
To you my dear friend, one last good bye
This moment is bittersweet
Looking back in revery
Of thine first write
Down to this he last night
No less than a year times two have passed
Countless memories have been amassed
Laughter brought from thine own words
And from those same words, solace in a lonely world
A time or two mine own life was saved
By the time that thou selflessly gave
And in that time
Kept mine hand from committing suicide
Heavily mine heart doth weep
At the prospect of no new work from thine pen to read
Whilst joyfully thinking of
Your advice and opinions on my life and love
And conversations born of late night boredom
Or the monotony of everyday tedium
The laughs we have had all were fun
But alas I knew this day would come
So to you mine friend I wish the best
In life, love, and all that is left
On what is sure to be a prosporous path
Move forward Jon and never look back
I say this to you with never a lie
The memory and legacy of Sixout shall never die.

awesome write, especially at the end, but i feel that the dialect was kinda scrambled throughout the poem, very nicely written tho, *~*aNDReW*~*

  • A former member wrote: you wrote an incredibly beautiful poem for a really good guy, and a masterful poet. it is very sad to see him go, but like you said, it is good for him to go forward and never look back. :)
