Yet I'll still regret
By cadymae
I have regrets I haven't regretted yet
Because
I haven't decided I was bad yet
Yet I bother to hope I can discern
***
Blood swelling, but not rivulets yet
Gulped sadnesses to
be swallowed yet
Yet I should trust gladness and sating

I would disagree and say the last line works somehow...Something about pairing sating with gladness brought images of satsumas in the blazing summer sun for me. And the way that offset the rest of the piece...BOOM! :)

Great, but the last line was a bit of a let down. Perhaps something like "Yet I watch the bruise take shape" or something better than either one. This was so close,.. thanks.

you're right. the last line misses. I'm still chewing on it. Was playing with the "e" and s" of gladness and sadnesses. The idea and cadence and the "yets/regrets" are all there though. I'll come back to it. tnx fer reading.

Perhaps "gladness and madness"??? You know best, thanks.
