Nightmare Glaze

By Dead_Weight

i get lost inside my head
its a dark and ugly maze
cobwebs of anguish
frosted with a nightmare glaze
fake sales pitches for solace
echo all through my mind
searching this way and that
still the end i can not find
and through epileptic tantrums
the voices stutter nonesence
take a pill to patch my nerves
and soothe a guilty conscience
the malignant disease of life
burrows like a mole
and as the numbness grabs my veins
Satan whispers to my soul

"grab my hand we'll run for dead
you're a whippet in this race
gold razor wire necklace
for he who takes first place"

so i run until my muscles ache
and my spinal cord has broke
drag myself into first place
and finally start to choke
tighten it a little more
create a bloody mess
razor wire vulture beaks
are feasting on my flesh
they nibble till they get to bone
then sweep me in the grave
cover me with rocks and soil
and a little nightmare glaze
