Dreams of Wonderland

By BrokenTether

Please white rabbit take me away,
And maybe I'll come back one day.
But for now I'd rather sip some tea,
Than be here in reality.

Please I want to sing with flowers,
And listen to caterpillars with wisdom's powers.
And eat a little of this in between,
Talking with the Red King and Queen.

I want to meet the White Knight,
See Humpty Dumpty in my sight.
Let me meet the Cheshire Cat,
Just so I'm anywhere but where I'm at.

Please white rabbit take me away,
And maybe I'll come back one day.
But for now I'd rather sip some tea,
Than be here in reality.

Please I want to play croquet,
And assure Tweedle Dee that I'm okay.
See a Bread-and-Butter Fly,
And just be happy while the world passes by.

I want to be in a game of chess,
I'd like to grow a lot more or less.
So let me retreat in to my head,
And listen to poems that should never be read.

Please white rabbit take me away,
And maybe I'll come back one day.
But for now I'd rather sip some tea,
Than be here in reality.

We've all wanted to escape reality sometimes but the way you have brought out that wish made a great read. thanks!
