Couch Dreams

By Gideon Lost

Let me leap
I am not afraid
Of this height
I will be
Okay
Flying
To far off places
Always remembering you
Holding onto me
For your dear life
Its time
Open your stubborn eyes
At least long enough to see
Me float away
My love,
I will not be contained
By your gravity
I will always be
Me
With you
So let go
Putting down your feet
Into the warm safe bed
You've made
I'll content myself
To the couch.
