To take a friend

By silentninja

Such a pretty smile
Pretty thing
Precious thing

An Adult now, yet still a child
Horrid thing
Stupid thing

Lucious words of such promise
To enchant my ear
A friendly apology
FORGET IT dear

I made such an effort to like you
To be a friend to you
To listen to you
With all your tears

Then you toss me to the side
As you plan to go out for night
It sould seem you are now on my bad side
Now I never want you near.

You poisoness little rodent
I'm trying so hard not to hate you
Your decietful indecisive intent
Now makes me despise you

The way you hurt me is unforgivable
I am appalled that it could just take a friend
A close friend
A now ex-friend
To hurt me

Before you poison me
I will walk away from you
We are now nothing more than aquaintances
I only wish I never knew you

Phew... Powerful. Some of life's chapters are best not dwelt upon, good poem though!

No matter how good a friend you are to them, they all seem to disappear eventually. Either finding a new niche, or as a result of time's merciless flow. Imploding of close friendships is never a pleasant experience. Write on. Scholar
