The Confrontation
By Poe Etiquette
I saw, in light, an angel's face
Fair on stage, in word and grace
And trivially as it be
I cannot (for the heart of me)
Comprehend the sight I see
For how can one, at but a glance,
Sink into such a desp'rate trance
Or at one look to sight, above
To a face, pure as a dove
Fall so hopelessly in love
And even more a mystery
More than mere fortuity
But rather fate or destiny
How could such a love love me
For I am man, and plagued by fault
Haunted by my indiscretion
How could I, bound to earth's vault
Ever desire a child of heav'n

This is sublime and you must become a published writer someday. Please, publish!! You write like the old ones, esp. Poe, who appears to be your favourite.=D I love you and am a huge fan. Thanks

and this poem makes me think maybe, just maybe, we can all see the beauty in eachother even if we dont always see it in ourselves. God bless :)
