Russia's Child

By Poe Etiquette

Behold the blood scattered about that 17th day

A time when nobles fall to the blade of evil

By the foul spell, ruin the children of LeFaye

But Her sacred flag will still prevail

Hidden in the darkness deep

Beneath a tomb of flesh he weeps

But run fair mother do not sleep

Lose your life, your seed to keep

Now, see. she hides in branches grasp

To escape her father's foulest fate

But darkest winds are blowing fast

And through the forest do they grate

Dead! Oh house, she is slain

See her blood mix with the rain

A lie the poison rat has feigned

To lay title to the eternal reign

Alarum and bells peel through the night

But they will not wake the Saint

Setting all to monstrous fright

Till morning time when they fall faint

But seed, oh seed, grow seed soon

Let her life and death then lift you high

And scarlet love set you to bloom

Till you have reached your Father's side

Guard her honour just as she protected you

'Neath the wolf and wind that howl'd and blew

Enter world's stage at First Light's cue

And play't well 'til his name is through

This deep piece of art makes me appreciate my freedom. When someone sacrifices their-self for another, that is true passion. Nicely penned... Scholar
