I thought one night

By LostInTime

I thought one night
While I was trying to keep her from hurting herself
That I cannot do this much longer.

I fear my soul may get lost
Or wither into some twisted frightened thing
That will simply hide away forever.

She carried her self-pity
In the bottles hidden throughout our life
As weapons of suicide

I carried mine
in the battles fought just to confuse
As an accomplice.
