Corinthian the go go dancer

By Corinthian

she

whose ebon glassine pool
spills chromium stars
to light an onyx sea.

This frigid hem of night,
the wind is still as death,
while Winter calls,
without remorse,
to chill your warm,
sweet breath.

I say my name in the furius voice of rasberry.wine.
A Single-minded obsession
With reptilian dreams
Cursed
With a fallible
Human
Sense of right and wrong
Blessed
With the "eye"
ALien
An unholy weapon
The gentrian gifts of nature
.Potpourri
The sweet stench of sulphur
Subliminal whisper...
Surrender
Standing on the brink of a broken pile
Rhythmic heartbeat of a lonely child
Connected without seams

When...Corinthan sleeps

So abstract in meter, yet powerful and imaginative in verse. I am legitimately impressed.

I'm just going to favourite you because I feel like an idiot trying to comment on your works, like words would just fail completely so I go and read again to find something I can point out that I like but it just... yeah... words fail.

Truly stunning work of art you have layed down here...Breathing, moving, feeling, loving...Magnificent piece.

  • A former member wrote: amazing!!!! im shocked, the imagery is so amazing and most importantly the idea behind it is rather clever thank you for writing this!

  • A former member wrote: this has a beautiful personal meaning for me; as corinthian[s] states the true nature of real and abiding love, a heart/a soul without that 'corinthian' as you write would be so entirely empty of all that love really is or should be....when 'corinthian sleeps' the heart becomes a dangerous and isolating place, a stumbling beat unheard, a cold stone......and a star, if she could encompass love---what beauty she would burn in, what depth would she illuminate in herself, her lover, her own world even?......your write encapsulates so many deeply intrinsic wonders and beauties.....concerns and crucibles.....excellent piece here. soft and feminine. welcome.

  • A former member wrote: it feels like a voice full of sorrow and gentleness.. breaking through the softest dreams, I think you really capture the magic and beauty of moments connecting to other moments... and I love the "cursed with a fallible sense of right and wrong".. insightful, self-assessing observation, one cannot recover from its truth.

  • A former member wrote: really? your style of imagery is so gorgeous, and takes its time, in painting a picture or building a scene to reveal itself in full, it is inspiring and creates many tangents for exploration.

I became absolutely engulfed into the vast imagery of these beautifully written words..you're way is refreshing.. wants me to revisit my old way..your minds creativity and ability to enhance color to design such brilliant pictures leaves me salivating for this.."glassine pool, hem of night and stillness of death"..the fury in wine."reptilian dreams"I feel a combination of two worlds.. I love this alien sense you've spilled upon me.. Thanks you for sharing..

  • A former member wrote: Always so incredible...you've got a true gift and I'm glad you've chosen to share it with the rest of us. : ) Please, keep writing.
