Alamo

Alamo

Shaken awake from my nightly slumber

As the building trembles in fear.

People in a daze wander the halls confused

As I rush to get my gear.

Shouts of confusion emanate from the doorways

At the utter of the word “Alamo.”

The hearts of all race into a frenzied panic

While we move with propose to our stations.

The first bang from the 120 catches us off guard

And the sky bursts forward with light,

It opens up to rain down lead upon the enemy.

Then all becomes quiet

And slumber resumes.
