Malignant trust

By nightshade

Malignant trust taken so easily,
Brought forth in coldness.
The sad innocence of youth.
So sweet in it's fullness.
Here you stand tempting fate,
as silence echos in the timelessness of eternity.
A vicious circle breaths new life
Between the hunter and its prey.
A few kind words spoken into a naive ear,
Shall shatter a world today.
These steps you take one by one,
In a playful game of cat and mouse.
Leads you ever closer, ever nearer,
To another victims house.

Vicious circles should not be given new life, only broken, as the old saying goes. Perhaps there is something to be said though, for at least acknowledging that there does indeed exist at least a small potential for our footsteps to begin to falter on the new path we have chosen to walk in life. Some dark alleyways should never be walked into again, never. I don't know, who is to say. Definitely a Darker and somewhat disturbing piece though. Those are sometimes the most emotionally challenging ones for me to write personally, you did an excellent job with this one, nonetheless.--Draven.

Some things Draven must be brought forth out of the darkness and into the light and the alleys they call home will forever strike fear in the hearts of mankind. As far as revisiting said alleys I personally only want to do that when I have about 10 high powered search lights and maybe an RPG and a nice large flamethrower. I must say the response I have gotten from this one work has pleased me yet it still feels wrong to be pleased about conjuring such horrid thoughts and emotions in my reader.

Sometimes lust childhood is even more disturbing than adult life. It is one thing however to know that to be a fact and another to experience it. I know there is a saying in a well publicized book something about "When I was a child I spoke as a child." and then something about putting away childish things. However what does one do when the "childish" things are more than some adults can handle? We have things ingrained in us as children some good some bad however for some we must refine those things and learn and expand our understanding. However that being said there are also times when childhood is really as good as some say it should be. Those are what we should cherish and remember.
