Midnight's Agent Of Silence

Midnight's Agent of Silence

The Night is dark and cold, and quiet-
And the clock tower affirms-
This praise that we cannot deny it-
To phrase in simple terms.

The tower's clock strikes at the hour-
Repeatedly it tolls-
To warn of demons, Midnight's power-
Our minds, the Fear controls.

Alone, one solitary street is walking-
An Agent of the Night-
So like a Hunter that is hawking-
With nothing in his sight.

So quiet and mysterious-
The nothingness he parted-
Torn and left delirious-
In silence, broken-hearted.

This is a truly brilliant piece, enchanting and dark. Write on....
