Rotting Corpses

By darkness_descends

We are all just rotting corpses
Aimlessly wandering
This casket world
Until a black hole
Swallows us all
Burries us in the catacombs of time
The mausoleum of lost memories
Forsaken souls
Another failed race
Of selfish
Uncaring zombies
Whose hearts
Never served any greater purpose
Than preventing their dhest from caving in
Whose brains are nothing more
Than packing material
That absorbs the shock
As these mindless masses
Of already dead beings
Repeatedly bang their heads
Against the wall of the world
As the echoes ring
Inside their useless cranial cavities
Filled with stale air
Dead facts
Unimportant dates
And stupid trivia
Oblivious to the fact
They are already dead
And just roaming
Until their burial plot arrives
