Forever and a Secret.
By Aleas
**repost of sorts
The soul of a one way mirror
Adversely
refracts through my own eyes
And suddenly I feel as if I'm staring
at the dark side of a rainbow
And pointing a gun at the head of
so many colors
Pleading on their knees
To be
set free in arterial blowback satisfaction
Through Salvador abstraction
In Hollow Point fashion
As the Moon scoffs at such counterfeit
passion
And slowly begins to peel the tides back off my face
To reveal a shoreline void of life that had been seeded deep
Below
the surface
Colorless at it's brightest
And for all intensive
purposes
Completely devoid of purpose
When suddenly
I remember:
"All we are, are memories
Shadows of eternities
Murmurs of the night that echo on
forevermore."
And I begin to think back to a time I spoke
once before
Of being a casuality of love
In a war
I
never wanted to fight
A fight
I never stood a chance in
A chance
I never thought I'd take again
But when
the wind blew
I found myself alive and staring into the open palms
outreached
Of a silhouette tease
Bringing tears to the eyes
of which
Beauty seems an endless sunset
And catching the rhythm
beat whispers of a heart that hungers for your touch
The Moon now
above me
Pulling the tides over us
Finally coming to settle
in the breast of a new horizon that brings with it a calm
Not seen.
Unheard.
Only felt.
On
the tips of a finger caressing the crest of your lower lip
An apex
wonderer
Of poetic slip...
...And wandering hands
As we move together in a language only we understand:
"All we are, are memories
Shadows of eternities
Murmurs of the night that echo on forevermore.
"All we are, are memories
Flowers in an autumn breeze
As everything is sure to fade, we'll bloom forevermore."
And then
Abruptly ends
In a smile within
Clinched
fists
And a slight twinge of hope
...Resist...

dont why why i missed this,...there was no cryptisism to de-code here for me ,..whether it be my interpretation or not i watched a man unfold from an angered pain shelter, perhaps his choice of weapon in the war of self preservation,....the beauty here for me was the setting that you started.'the mirror reference'..thats where i watched this from,...a personal thing to witness a man put up his gaurd only to watch his salt come to the surface..also: you saw this moment through with the double body movement of initial resistence "clenched fists"..where as the heart and hope of this underlying man had 'felt' if just for a moment..hence the "smile"..appreciate your willing share of this mate,..very human moment caught in mind..of me.
