Six Sceptres Glowing In the Gloam - or - A Gert Attercop
By Riven Waker
She weeps now
For her children wander now
Oft waylaid by orchids
Lily cheeked as
Undead
Cherubim fallen
Ruby of eye afire
Into the golden dawn
Of violin spider vessels
To test the vintage
The one aged fear

Such a voice. Good grief. This is absolutely immaculate. If I had written this, I think I might be content never writing another thing again. But as an indulgent reader, I pray you don't decide to keep all your genius to yourself. I'd like to continue admiring. Thank you for sharing this. It has made an impact.

I'm going to echo Echo--great short piece--just one too many "nows"--in fact you could get rid of both--would tighten this piece up and make it spectacular. Nice write and welcome!

I feel the repetition of "now" in those first two lines wasn't really necessary but this is a great little piece yet again. Plays great with the visuals with that third last line.
