A Funeral and Birthday Wishes

months ago
yet, still stained into my memory

SAW 4

car ride home

*side swiped*

glass
blood
scared

hospital

it makes you wonder

do angels bleed to?
are their tears still salty warm crystals
do they feel pain

does she still feel the pain she was suffering
when she died

or did she fall in love with the devil at first sight

the human body is a blank canvas

mine

is covered with scars
metal

and a lot of ink soon to come

hers

ink.
torn skin

pail and cold

is she cold at night?

this year
on my birthday...

..ill bring her a blankie and roses..

I do not envy the thoughts behind this work, as any loss is scarring, but a tragic loss so much more... Warm wishes and hugs to you, darlin'. Hope ya feel 'em and they do some good.

On a side note too, forgot to say: Thanks for sharing. It's a beginning of healing, and beautifully written as well.

you are really such a beautiful person inside and out. i see so much of the young me in you. i'm really glad you're here at this site and that i could meet such a talented and promising young soul. this poem holds alot of feeling, and i can't stop coming back and looking at it (i suppose its cuz i was supposed to go to my friends funeral today eek) death is a difficult thing to go thru, but we really have to do, what you just did and celebrate life and the memories that we have. if only we could live forever, and maybe we do, who knows. *important part* but the time we have here and the ways that we touch others hearts and lives is what matters. i'm so glad to have met you ms. danni. keep writing and never stop being you. much love your way. ~ta

ps. yes doll, angels bleed. my tears are are made of blood. and i bleed for the angels, a tarnished angel every moment of this life... seems sad but it is me and somewhere clouded by darkness i am beautiful and happy too. (it always comes back to yin and yang.) :) thanks for this one really nice work. ~ta
