Painted in corner up against wall

By Aunty Depressant

I just don't know what to do.

I feel like crying

and can't sleep at all.

I've been painted in a corner,

Pushed up against the wall.

I don't want to fight.

I just want a life.

But what's the point of trying?

When you just beat me down.

You laugh at all my punches

and knock me to the ground.

What was I thinking?

Feeling sorry for you.

Now I'm feeling sorry for myself,

and nothing else but blue.

I've been painted in the corner.

And pushed up against the wall.

Ain't nothin' I can do.

Ain't nothin' at all.

I've been playing around with blues on harp...I'll have to see if I can come up with a tune to go with it.
