In touch(with the rain)

By Tania

The words seemed to fall from the sky
that day.

That day when I tried to
understand her.

Washed out in the plain rain
that fell every so often..

and she felt it..

..some days..

as it gathered at her feet..
in wait
for some sort of recognition..

.. Those tiny pools of lonesome tears..
..wallowing in their own lonesome existence..

Sodden..
Sopping..

the water always seemed to wet through her shoes too quickly..

..some days..

..she could only sit
and stare..

wishy..
washy..

and wonder why
she felt so immersed..
so soaked up in the rain..

she loved this place.

so close..

so distant..

she loved the rain.
