Empty Corridor Fixation

By glasshouse

She lost her breath

Her balance

Her ability to

See beauty

(---This beholder

Has no eye

And never

Saw the light of day---)

She found her heart

Left pounding

Like a peeled tomato

Every beat

Exaggerated

Against the hard wood floor

His fixation

Left her speechless

Left her gasping

Left her bleeding

In the aisle

And the corridor

Was empty

Save for the demons

Left to haunt her

She cried for him

She gave her soul

She’d die for him

If he’d make her whole again

She only wanted

To be whole again

But she became toxicity

And he was waiting for her

ouch. it hurts from within...as many of your poems. I feel from the past.
